We are now in Bangkok, Thailand for about 2 weeks to play in all of the indoor kiddie amusement parks, etc., and then we head to Tokyo on July 15th. While in Bangkok, we are staying at the Tower Inn Hotel.

We had thought we were in top notch shape since we have been walking around a lot, but nothing prepared us for Bangkok.  The roads are constantly filled with cars, tuk tuks, and motorcycles.  It's impossible to cross the roads without a long wait.

We have been searching for the perfect mall with a playground for the children.  The malls are so big here that we end up getting lost most of the time.  Some of them don't even have maps.  Our ankles are swollen from all the walking, trekking up stairs with a stroller, and standing while taking the sky train (our main transportation).

However, the children are having fun.  How can they not?  We are always taking them to Magic Land or The Children's Discovery Museum or Jamboree etc...  Everyday, when they wake up, they say "I want to go to the playground!"

At least in a week, we will meet up with some old friends that we met in Railay.  We are moving to their hotel so we can get some help.  Their 12 year old daughter loves Kayla and Ryan.

Tomorrow, we are taking them to Dreamland, a big amusement park in Bangkok.  We are looking forward to all the walking.

We miss you and will e-mail you again.

All smiles

It has been a fun week for us.  We moved to the Eastin hotel and met up with some friends that we had met in Railey, Thailand a few months ago.  They came with another family from Germany.  There are 3 children (ages 8, 13 and 13 ) so Kayla and Ryan really love being with them.  Our rooms even have connecting doors.

Our first day out together was at the floating market.  We had to wake up at 7am to head out of Bangkok.  The drive took an hour and a half.  The kids didn't care much about shopping because they liked to go the playground more.

Our second outing with one of 13 year old girls, Alena, was to Safari World.  The kids got to see a seal, dolphin and Beluga whale show.  The kids enjoyed them even though it was hot and humid.  Then we all got into a bus and drove around a big open safari zoo. We got to see zebras, rhinos, deer, lions, tigers, giraffes and other animals up really close.  Too bad the kids fell asleep half way through the ride.

Tonight, we left the kids with our friends to have a date night.  We went to the Outback Steakhouse because we haven't had a good steak in a while.

We love you and will email you again.
